Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 8:00 am to embark on a captivating day tour to the Pyramids of Giza with a knowledgeable private tour guide.

First, you will visit the Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or Cheops. It is the oldest and largest pyramid in the Giza pyramid complex and stands as the only remaining wonder of the ancient world. Built as a tomb for the Fourth Dynasty Egyptian pharaoh Khufu around the 26th century BC, this architectural marvel initially reached a height of 146.5 meters, making it the tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years. Though much of the smooth white limestone casing has been removed, the Great Pyramid’s underlying core structure still stands at a height of 138.5 meters. If you wish to explore the burial chamber of King Khufu, you can request your tour guide to arrange it for you at an additional cost of 400 EGP per person (approximately $25).

Next, you will visit the Pyramid of Chephren or Khafre, the second-tallest and second-largest pyramid in the Giza complex. It serves as the tomb of the Fourth-Dynasty pharaoh Khafre (Chefren), who reigned around 2558−2532 BC. For those interested in exploring the burial chamber of King Chephren, the tour guide can arrange it for an extra fee of 100 EGP per person (approximately $7).

Continue your tour with a visit to the Pyramid of Mykerinus and savor a panoramic view of the three majestic pyramids.

Afterward, head to the Valley Temple of King Chephren and have a closer look at the legendary Great Sphinx, the guardian of the vast funeral complex, boasting the body of a lion and the head of King Chephren. For a memorable experience, enjoy a camel ride in the desert surroundings of the Pyramids of Giza.

The journey continues with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Tahrir Square. This remarkable museum houses an extraordinary collection of over 250,000 authentic artifacts dating back over 5,000 years. Of particular interest is the exclusive exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun, featuring treasures, gold, and jewelry that remained buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years until their discovery in 1920. If you wish to explore the Royal Mummies Hall, you can request your tour guide to take you to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization at an additional cost of $30 per person.

At the end of this immersive exploration of Egypt’s rich history and heritage, you will be transferred back to your hotel, filled with memories of the awe-inspiring pyramids and the treasures of the Egyptian Museum.
